The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law to provide economic relief from COVID-19.
One section of the CARES Act established the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) and awarded money for schools to use for emergency financial aid grants directly to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pivot Point Academy has acknowledged, signed, and returned to the Department the Certification Agreement and the assurance that Pivot Point Academy intends to use no less than 50% of the funds received under Section 18004(A)(1) of the Cares Act to provide emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

The method used by Pivot Point Academy for the purpose of determining the amount students should receive from the Emergency Financial Aid Grants was calculated by the total of the funds available for students divided by the number of eligible students.
Based on this calculation each student could receive up to $1048.41 under the CARES Act.
Student Guidance
These funds will be made available to ALL active students eligible to receive financial aid, that has incurred costs related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
To be eligible for these funds, you MUST have completed a 2019/2020 FAFSA, OR complete one to determine your eligibility.
Once your 2019/2020 is completed and your eligibility is confirmed, you will be emailed a form requesting reimbursement of costs related to the disruption of on-site education due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Note: If you are already receiving financial aid, you will be emailed a form requesting reimbursement for submittal.
