5 Types of Hair Colors to Try This Summer 2020

If you’re searching for a new hair color that will help you stand out from the crowd this summer, there are a variety of new coloring trends to choose from. To help you make a decision, we’ve summarized 5 types of hair colors to experiment with in the summer.

Warm Blonde, Brunette, & Red Tones

Why not match your color to the rising temperatures? Popular summer hair colors include various shades of blonde, brunette, or red. These colors will make your skin glow and help you look radiant  on a hot summer day.

Blue, Pink, or Purple Pastel Colors

If you want a less vivid appearance, we recommend trying pastel hair colors for the summer. This is a popular trend that utilizes softer shades of color. It’s best to start with a light coating on the pass to get a sense of the color’s overall brightness when comparing it to your natural hair color. If you’re not satisfied with one layer you can always add more until you find the right shade of blue, pink, or purple that works for you.

Copper Hair Tones

For those with darker hair, adding copper shades can be a great way to change your appearance during the summer. This is an excellent way to enhance the vibrancy of your hair without being required to go through an entire makeover. Add a small amount of copper hair coloring to the ends of your hair to create beautiful highlights. You can also apply it sporadically in your hair as babylights for a more natural look.

Strawberry Blonde

Despite the “blonde” connotation, this shade of pink isn’t extremely bright. However, this popular summer hair color will help you stand out from the crowd in the summer. Similar to copper coloring, you don’t have to apply too much to get the most out of it.

Applying a small amount will add accents to your hair, especially if you’re using some of the warmer colors we previously recommended. Strawberry blonde also works with other hair colors, but you might have to do more work to get a desired look or combination.

Sun Kissed

When in doubt, you can always turn to the sun-kissed style. The aptly-named look is always a hit because you don’t have to do too much to make it look like a natural occurrence. With a small range of highlights, you can create a look that makes it seem like you spent the winter season on a tropical island.
