In 1962, Pivot Point Founder, Leo Passage, opened Pivot Point Beauty School at the corner of Howard and Clark Streets on the north side of Chicago. His first class was made of five students in one classroom. Today, Pivot Point International is a global company creating high-quality cosmetology and esthetics education used in schools around the world. The educational materials we develop help empower the next generation of designers to succeed in the beauty industry.

Pivot Point operates three corporate beauty Academies in the Chicago area—Evanston Academy which serves Chicago and the Chicago suburbs; Chicago Academy on Irving Park Road which serves Chicago; and Bloomingdale Academy which is in the western Chicago suburbs. In addition to our corporate locations, we have a network of schools that use Pivot Point's A Designer's Approach or Salon Fundamentals libraries.
